Foróige is the National Youth Development Organisation, which promotes and fosters youth development through the operation of various youth services in urban and rural areas throughout the country. Foróige is currently recruiting for the following position:


The HAY GYDP is funded by Department of Justice. This Family Project Worker attached to the HAY GYDP will involve assessing a number of young person referred in the context of their family, and will actively support the family using a range of interventions and tools appropriate to each individual case. Individual work is the core means of engaging the family, with small group work, and activities also being an integral part of the programme.

The successful applicant will have the following essential requirements;

  • Education to National Degree standard, preferably in Community Development/ Applied Social Care etc.
  • Paid or voluntary, experience working with young people.
  • Car and Full Driving Licence. D1 Licence Desirable.
