Foster Care Ireland: Fostering Social Worker
Fostering Social Worker
Foster Care Ireland is an Irish owned non-statutory fostering agency in north Dublin. We are committed to securing the best outcomes for the children placed with us. Thus, we invest in the development of our staff who in turn support, train, and develop our foster carers.
We wish to appoint an additional experienced Professionally Qualified Social Worker to our Fostering Team. This is a full-time position for a committed team player with the flexibility to constructively engage with our carers who rise to the challenges of fostering and securing sustainable outcomes for the children in their care.
We recognise the value of informed therapeutic practices such as DDP (Dyadic Developmental Psychotherapy) which we are actively adopting in our practice. Our attitude of acceptance, curiosity and empathy helps us to understand how trauma and attachment difficulties are communicated in the daily lives of our foster families. We encourage regulation and reflection to discover the meaning behind presenting behaviour.
If you live within reach of Santry, Dublin 9, and would enjoy working in a small outcome focussed team with social care support, do talk to us about the skills and experience you can bring to our practice.
The salary and benefit package will be attractive and commensurate with experience.
Applicants should have qualifications in social work, three years’ experience in delivering services in the areas of fostering, child protection and/or children in care. A full job description and application form is available on request to David@fostercareireland.ie
