UBU Your Place Your Space: Ferrybank
Foróige is the National Youth Development Organisation, which promotes and fosters youth development through the operation of various youth services in urban and rural areas throughout the country. Foróige is currently recruiting for the following position:
Foróige Ferrybank UBU Project is provided by Foróige in partnership with Waterford,Wexford Education and Training Board (WWETB). It is funded by the Department of Children, Equality, Disability, Integration and Youth through the UBU- Your Place, Your Space targeted youth funding scheme.
Foróige Ferrybank UBU Youth Work projects and initiatives in Ferrybank provide a range of educational and developmental services to young people. These services include, identification and recruitment of targeted/ at risk young people, establishment of group and individual interventions, programme development and implementation, recruitment of adult volunteers, youth leadership training, organisational development, consultancy, advice and information and school holiday programmes. Interventions are delivered with a specific focus on those areas and communities experiencing specific disadvantage.
The successful applicant will have the following essential requirements;
- Education to National Degree standard, preferably in Community Development/ Applied Social Care etc.
- Paid or voluntary, experience working with young people.
- Car and Full Driving Licence
