Programme Assistant – Tallaght Dublin 24

Part Time (14 hrs.) and Fixed Term contract for 30 weeks
Monday to Thursday, (9:30am -1pm)
Salary: €8,773 - €10,831 DOE
Tallaght, Dublin 24.

What does our Early Years Project in Millbrook do?

We work in partnership with children, families and relevant services to provide the necessary opportunities for children to reach their potential. Through Early Intervention Programmes, preschool service, home visits, parental support, one to one work and small group work where needed, we offer support and direction to children and families experiencing disadvantage. We also provide a service to children in transition from our pre-school to

national school through a group session.

What will the Programme Assistants do?

The post holders will provide a safe, child centred environment/experience to children attending the Early Years service in Millbrook. These positions will support children who attend our service.

Where are we based?

Millbrook Lawns Health Centre, Tallaght, Dublin 24.

Experience required

Experience of working with children for a minimum of 6 months is essential.
(work experience means paid employment, not training courses/student placements)
Relevant voluntary work may be considered.

Qualification required

Recognised qualification (min FETAC Level 5 on the QQI) that is approved under the Early Years (Preschool) Regulations.

Personal Attributes required

  • Commitment to provide a quality service to children.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Awareness of confidentiality and the ability to deal with sensitive issues including child protection concerns.
  • Ability to work as part of a team.
  • Flexibility and adaptability are essential attributes in this role.
