Project Worker - Waterford
This is a part-time (15 hrs) and Specific Purpose contract.
The hours are worked over 2 days, Monday, Tuesday or Wednesday.
Salary: €12,512 - €19,340 DOE
What does the Waterford Family Support Service do?
Provides information, advice and support to children, young people and their families in response to specific needs identified in partnership with families and other relevant agencies.
This role works as part of the Waterford Student Mother Group, working with young parents, linking participants into existing services and supporting their ongoing involvement in education. The role undertakes individual assessments and developing suitable programmes for each service user within the remit of the service. The role liaises with relevant statutory, voluntary and community services in the area with particular emphasis on feeder schools in the area.
Project Worker – Waterford
To develop and implement programmes that respond to the needs of children and families referred to both services working in partnership with families and other organisational, community and voluntary bodies.
- A minimum of 2 years post qualification experience of working with vulnerable children and families.
- Experience of working in partnership with families and carers.
- Experience of planning, implementing and reviewing programmes with children and/or families.
A recognised third level practice qualification (minimum Level 7 on the QQI) in one of the following:
- Early Childhood Care and Education
- Social Care
- Social Work
- Youth Work
- Or related discipline (Nursing, Psychology, Early Years Education).
A full driving licence and access to the use of a suitably insured vehicle is essential.
