SOCIAL WORK TEAM LEADER
PERMANENT FULL TIME
Location: West Limerick Children’s Services, Newcastle West, Co. Limerick
1. Professional Qualifications
A. Candidates must have a NQSW or CQSW or a Letter of Accreditation issued by the National Social Work Qualifications Board (NSWQB) and have been approved for registration by CORU under Continuing Professional Development Standards and Requirements.
B. Candidates should demonstrate good leadership, communication and organisational skills together with up-to-date knowledge of current thinking and practice in Services for children/young persons with complex needs and disability, be highly motivated, flexible and committed to working as part of an interdisciplinary team.
C. Maintain live annual registration on the Social Workers Register maintained by the Social Workers Registration Board maintained by the Health and Social Care Professionals Council of Ireland
- Have three years relevant experience in a Disability setting subsequent to obtaining that qualification
- Have significant experience of working in the Disability Paediatric sector
- Proven effectiveness as a professional Social Worker
- The capacity to lead a team
- Full clean drivers licence

Panels may be formed as a result of the interview process. Candidates who are placed on a panel will be considered for subsequent vacancies, for a period of up to one year, for this grade. These vacancies could be for part time, relief hours, fixed term or temporary positions.
