The Mid West Regional Drugs & Alcohol Forum brings together a range of representatives to design and implement an integrated, holistic strategy which seeks to address the context and consequences of problem substance misuse in the mid-west region.

Applications are invited for the following position:

LLADAT Afterschool Programme – Support Worker September 2023 – April 2024

Specific Purpose Contract Post

The successful candidate will:

• Deliver the Let’s Learn About Drugs & Alcohol Together afterschool sessions
• Support the day to day and planning administration duties of the LLADAT programme
• Actively engage in the evaluation of the LLADAT programme
• Hold a recognised 3rd level qualification/s (minimum NQF Level 7) in relation to:
  • Education or
  • Substance Use, or
  • Health Promotion or equivalent
• Hold Recognised qualification of Group Facilitation Skills and/or evidence of related experience
• Have a minimum two years’ experience working in:
  • Formal or informal education setting with post-primary children or
  • Experience working in drug education and prevention setting or

This post will be part-time – 20 hours a week, flexible working hours.
