Applications are invited for the position of Medical Social Worker in St Vincent’s Private Hospital.

Requirements

Essential

• Hold NQSW or CQSW or equivalent
• Be registered as a Social Worker with CORU, the professional body for the regulation of Health & Social Care Professionals.
• Ability to undertake the Psycho-Social assessments of in patients/out patients and formulate care/discharge plans.
• To Liaise and communicate effectively with the Multi-Disciplinary Team on a constant basis.
• To be aware of the current relevant national legislation/guidelines, particularly FOI, Child Protection and Elder Abuse.

Desirable

• Hospital Experience
• An interest in working in the area of Oncology.
