ROSCOMMON YOUTH STEAM PROJECT

Foróige, the National Youth Development Organisation, which promotes and fosters youth development through the operation of various youth services in urban and rural areas throughout the country, currently invite applications for the following position:

PROJECT WORKER

The Roscommon Youth STEAM/TECHSPACE Project aims to provide Digital and Technical Education programmes to young people in North Roscommon region through Sound Surfers and TECHSPACE and Coding Programmes.

This is a full time post and the employment base will be the Phoenix Youth Project, Cathedral St, Kilcolman, Ballaghaderreen, Co. Roscommon.

The successful applicant will have the following;

• Education to National Diploma or Degree standard preferably in Youth / Community Work (note: candidates with exceptional, relevant work experience may also be considered in lieu of degree qualifications)
• A minimum of 1 year relevant work experience
• Access to car and full driving licence
• Ability to engage target group
• Experience using creative software, equipment and tools for digital media, graphic design and STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Maths)
• Interest in youth work and digital media including film making, robotics, coding
