To Represent and Support Community Partnerships.
The Community Partnerships are working under the framework of the National Development Plan (2000-06) funded through the Local Development Social Inclusion Programme (LDSIP), to address issues of poverty, social deprivation, and marginalisation which has intensified in some urban and rural areas.

The Community Partnerships, based in 32 areas around the country, tackle issues of social exclusion through a 'partnership' approach, working with cross-sectoral agencies and bodies in their respective areas. This work is based on comprehensive, integrated local actions plans designed to counter exclusion focussing on services for the unemployed, community development; community based youth services.
