Assistant Support Worker (Catering Assistant & Cleaning Duties)

Salary: €12.52 per hour, plus premiums
Working Hours: 20 hours average per week, (including evenings and weekends)

Details: Permanent

Job Summary: To serve food to the families during evening meal. Carry out general cleaning in kitchen area and Family Hub communal areas.

Key Responsibilities: Working in rotation on evenings and weekends to ensure the needs of the service are met. To ensure there is a high standard of cleanliness in the Family Hub.

The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate: Motivation towards ensuring the service is of an acceptable cleaning standard.

Specific tasks of the role:

Assistant Support Worker (Night Worker)

Salary: €12.52 per hour, plus 18% night premium

Working Hours: 39 hours per week average, including weekends
Details: Permanent

Job Summary: Providing life changing support to vulnerable residents in the Salvation Army’s new 25 unit Homeless Centre in Crumlin, Dublin. Helping homeless families secure a permanent residence through the established HAP process, you will provide a vital role in changing the lives of those most in need.

Key Responsibilities: Working on Nights, you will address clients’ needs, enabling them to make positive life choices and ultimately empower them in securing permanent accommodation. You will also complete activities including administration tasks and reception duties to support the successful operation of the Centre.

The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate: Motivation towards supporting vulnerable clients to achieve focused and positive life outcomes. You will also be able to demonstrate good customer service and time management skills with the ability to prioritise workload.

Specific tasks of the role:

  • Admitting new families in to the service, completing all essential paperwork and documenting accordingly. Inducting families in to the service.
  • Supporting families with identified needs (i.e.) education, employment, mental/physical health needs and any community family supports.
  • To be mindful of working with children, awareness of child protection legislation, utilising knowledge and skills of frame work to act accordingly.
  • Main focus of the service is to provide long term sustainable housing through the established HAP process.
  • Support families to secure housing via organising viewings to properties and support families to move in to accommodation.
  • Work in partnership with a variety of service providers including both statutory and voluntary organisations.

General Assistant - Cleaning

Salary: €11.80

Working Hours: 20 hours per week

Details: Permanent

 Job Summary: The role is responsible for ensuring the Clonard Road Family Hub is cleaned to a high standard and meets health and safety regulations and legislation so as to create a pleasant and welcoming environment. The role holder will interact with clients and should work in a professional and caring manner whilst respecting the diversity of clients. 

Key Responsibilities: You will be responsible for providing a comprehensive cleaning service for the Clonard Road Family Hub, responsibilities including but not limited to using light cleaning machinery and chemicals to create and maintain a clean and safe work environment and some light lifting and carrying.

The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate: Motivation towards creating and maintaining a clean and safe work environment for vulnerable residents and the teams supporting them. A skilled multi-tasker, with an attention to detail and the ability to successfully work within a large team, you will be able to demonstrate good customer service and time management skills with the ability to prioritise workload.
