The purpose of this role is to promote the aims and objectives of Shine, promote and model recovery and discovery ethos and values & empowering people to manage their mental health effectively. Duties include working as part of the Shine team, developing personal knowledge and practice around mental health work, maintaining up to date records of their work & building trusting and non-judgemental relationships with users of the service.
The Care Worker is responsible for providing person centred care and support to people with dementia. To be successful in this role you will need experience in health, social or disability care. A FETAC Level 5 qualification is desirable but not essential. The role involves general management and organisation of the Therapy Centre office, including managing accounts and data inputting, interaction with patients in person and by phone, and organising work schedules and clinics for an interdisciplinary team.
Essential Criteria: Degree in Health and / or Social Care, Social Work, Psychotherapy and / or Psychology, minimum two years’ experience working in an outreach service, full clean driving licence (minimum 2 years and aged 23 years or over for insurance purpose). Experience in the implementation and development of support / care plans within the social care sector & conducting assessments of clients and processing any new referrals to the service, in line with agreed protocols.
Due to expansion in the Organisation we are recruiting for the following: Support Worker – (20 Hours) – ( 2 x 10 hour shifts). Alternating between Tues / Fri / Sat / Sun in Ashford, Co. Wicklow. We are also recruiting for Support Workers Relief Panel in Dublin, Kildare and Wicklow.
