Description:

The not-for-profit sector in Ireland is comprised of just over 19,000 organisations. Not-for-profit organisations operate independently from the state and do not seek to produce a profit, instead their primary function is to provide a service which benefits civil society. The Cappagh National Orthopaedic Hospital is an example of a not-for-profit organisation.

The 2into3 Not-for-Profit Graduate Programme aims to connect the best graduate talent on the market with not-for-profit organisations across all spectrums of the sector. Each trainee is mentored by 2into3 throughout their placement and is offered the prospect of progressing into an entry level role within the host organisation on completion of their traineeship.

2into3 are now recruiting a Fundraising & Communications Trainee for the Cappagh Hospital Foundation who will be based in the organisation’s head office in Finglas.

Cappagh Hospital Foundation

Cappagh Hospital Foundation is a registered charity which raises funds for Cappagh National Orthopaedic Hospital, Ireland’s major centre for elective orthopaedic surgery. The funds raised by the Foundation help to support the hospital to continue providing high quality patient care, improve patient mobility and advance the science of orthopaedic surgery through research, education and development. Funds previously raised by the Foundation have helped improve patient hospital experience by providing new state of the art theatres, 3T MRI Scanner, 10 bed isolation units and other essentials to make their stay more comfortable and conducive to a speedier recovery.

Cappagh Hospital Foundation is approaching its 30 year anniversary in 2018 and has ambitions to further develop its fundraising activities and increase levels of fundraised income substantially. To support the CEO and the Foundation Team in all aspects of the organisation’s fundraising and communications activity as it approaches its 30th year, Cappagh Hospital Foundation is seeking to add an ambitious Fundraising & Communications Trainee to this team.
