Finglas A School Completion Programme

The School Completion Programme (SCP) is a TUSLA programme that aims to have a significant positive impact on levels of young people’s retention in primary and second level schools and on numbers of pupils who successfully complete the Senior Cycle, or equivalent.

Finglas A SCP is currently recruiting the following positions

Project Worker

We are recruiting a full time project worker to provide direct support to targeted young people in our schools.

The Ideal candidate should have the following:

  • Qualification in one of the following: Social care, Youth Work or Social science.
  • Minimum of 1 years’ experience of working with young people within a supportive environment,
  • The ideal candidate will have skills and talents that are transferrable to developing programmes that will engage students at risk. Desirable Skills sets might include art, sports, music, Rap, multimedia etc.
  • Experience of working within a multi-disciplinary team.
  • Own transport essential
  • Gaeilge desirable

The post is for the academic year 2018/2019 and will be reviewed yearly. The post is based on the first point of the CDETB Youth Work Scale

Garda vetting will be a requirement for the successful candidate
