Programme Director (College Connect Programme)

College Connect is a collaborative initiative between Athlone Institute of Technology, Dublin City University, Dundalk Institute of Technology, and Maynooth University (the MEND Regional Cluster). MEND wishes to appoint a Programme Director for the College Connect Programme. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading, developing, managing and delivering the College Connect Programme. This will include the development of strategy and policy, the overall management of the programme, training and management of the College Connect team; fiscal management of programme funds; and evaluation and dissemination of programme outcomes to support the further development of an inclusive regional approach to widening participation.
The successful candidate will have a thorough knowledge of the Irish education system and educational disadvantage, strong leaderships skills and experience in actively engaging communities to progress social change, a record in leading large scale projects and teams, and exceptional communication, negotiation and liaison skills, evidenced by the ability to build relationships and consensus. This position will be based in Maynooth University and will report directly to the Director of Access as part of the development of the MEND Regional Widening Participation Strategy.
