The Linx programme aims to prevent reception into care and / or to support community or foster placements. The programme also aims to support young people returning to the community from residential care / custody. Project Workers will be required to be deliver all aspects of the programme in a flexible manner as part of a team.
Working as part of a team the Hospitality Coordinator will be responsible for the delivery of friendly and efficient guest services in the YWCA Residence. At least 2 years guest / customer service experience. At least 2 years administrative experience and high proficiency in Microsoft Office especially, Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel. Excellent communication skills both verbal and written.

The post holder will be supervised and managed by the Manager and work along side colleagues and on their own. The post holder will form effective working relationships with the community, voluntary and statutory sector. In addition the post holder will work within the wider organisational structure, which include the Board of Directors, volunteers and fundraisers.
To support and work in close collaboration with the centre manager to implement the resource centre’s aims and objectives as specified in the work plan. To work within the community to ascertain the needs of the area and build confidence and the capacity of individuals, families and groups through the development and support of appropriate programmes and activities.
The successful applicant will have a professionally endorsed qualification (degree) in Youth & Community work or an equivalent professional qualification. One years’ full time experience working with young people in a GYDP or youth work setting. Full clean driving licence (desirable). Exposure and understanding of GYDP work and of working with young people from residential services, minority ethnic groups (desirable).
Essential: Applicants must be registered with An Bord Altranais. Have a clear understanding of HIQA guidelines and the policies that govern it. Full Clean Drivers Licence. Possess a good knowledge of Intellectual Disability. Excellent IT, administration, report writing and organisational skills. Demonstrate initiative, good interpersonal and teamwork skills.
