Slí Eile has a vacancy for an Administrator
Slí Eile is a charity that works to help people who have experienced mental health challenges to recover and to rebuild their lives. We work in three distinctive ways. Firstly, we give people an experience of community living, through which they get social support and opportunities to develop important life-skills in a context of shared communal responsibility. Secondly, we engage people in two significant social enterprises, an organic farm and a bakery, in which they get experience of operating in the real world of work. Finally, we offer people a type of life coaching, which enables them to clarify and to actively pursue their respective visions for a good beyond Sli Eile.
Based in Churchtown, North Co. Cork, Slí Eile operates through two sister companies: Sli Eile Housing Association CLG and Slí Eile Support Services CLG. The Housing Association provides tenancies for people who are undertaking programmes at Slí Eile and the Support Services provide a range of supports to promote the tenants’ ongoing recovery and progression.
Slí Eile operates through a small team of around 12 staff. The Administrator will be a member of the Management Team, which currently comprises the CEO, the Support Programme Manager and the Enterprises and Estates Manager. Other staff at Slí Eile include 5 Tenant Progression Facilitators, who provide 24/7 tenant support, and technical specialists who guide and oversee the operation of Slí Eile’s social enterprises. All staff at Slí Eile are full members of the Slí Eile community and share with the tenants a responsibility for upholding the wellbeing of the community. The Slí Eile community also includes a number of volunteers, who contribute towards its work in many different ways. Slí Eile is led and governed by a voluntary Board.
