Requirements:

  • Level 6 Major or higher

Desirable:

  • Knowledge of Community Employment Schemes, DSP requirements and and Welfare Partners
  • Computer packages such as Word, Excel etc.
  • Good Communications, Computer Literacy
  • Competency Skills: Decision making, problem solving, teamwork and working on own initiative

Specialising in:

  • Knowledge of FETAC and QQI qualifications is an added advantage
  • Knowledge of DSP requirements

JOB DESCRIPTION

The role of the Training / Administration Supervisor is to lead the training function. Major areas of responsibility

  • Ensure trainees are met regularly with training services
  • Liaising with DSP officer regarding all aspects of scheme and trainees
  • Liaising with trainees on an on-going basis regarding their work experience, their attitude, their application, their development needs and any other personal or professional areas
  • Identifying training and educational programmes relevant to each individual trainee's needs at cost effective prices and of quality standard and sending same for approval to DSP through the ILP, repeating this process on a regular basis for each trainee which reflects their ongoing progress on the programme.
  • Evidence on ILP files for each trainee of sustained and consistent engagements, reviews and assessments carried out by the supervisor for each individual trainee
  • Updating and maintaining the ILP records for all trainees
  • Assistance with progression opportunities ie. employment
  • Overseeing the successful running of the administration department
