Kildare Ability Project

County Kildare LEADER Partnership manages the Ability Programme in County Kildare to provide person centered supports for young people with a disability between 16 and 19 years who are no longer in education or employment. Ability is co-financed by the Irish Government and the European Social Fund as part of the ESF Programme for Employability, Inclusion and Learning 2014-2020.

The Employer Engagement Worker will work closely with employers and voluntary groups to advise businesses and organisations who may be interested in employing young people with disabilities. The objective of the role is to promote inclusion and educate employers and voluntary organisations about the benefits of adapting jobs and meaningful social roles for young people with disabilities.

The successful candidate will hold a relevant qualification, have a knowledge of the recruitment needs of local businesses and potential opportunities and have an awareness of the employment supports available in County Kildare to young people with disabilities.

S/he will possess excellent communication and organizational skills, have good IT skills and be capable of working on their own initiative.

This position is 21 hours a week.

A fixed term contract up to July 2021 will be offered with salary commensurate to experience.
