Due to the on going expansion of our service we currently have the following permanent and temporary Location Manager vacancies in North Kildare and North Dublin. A. Location Manager North Kildare Services - Maynooth & Donadea – Permanent 1.0 WTE – Residential Roster

This service is located in the Maynooth area in North Kildare. The Location Manager works on the front line while also having overall management of this part of the service. The service is a residential setting. The Location Manager, along with the team, will be responsible for developing plans and ideas that support and encourage new interests and hobbies ensuring a meaningful quality of life. Community integration and involvement is a key component of this service delivery as those accessing our services strive to live an independent life.

The Location Manager will be responsible for roster administration and related responsibilities such as leave and payroll submissions. Location managers will support high quality service delivery through day to day management, induction, probation, supervision and appraisal.

The Location Manager will manage two residential services in this location. The successful candidate will report to the Regional Manager and will work as an integral part of the regional team. This post will report into a Person in Charge (PIC).

B. Location Manager North Kildare – Temporary, Full Time 1.0 WTE (one year fixed term contract) – Combined Roster

This service is located in North Kildare Maynooth, and the team are spread across three different locations currently which are Maynooth, Prosperous and Donadea. The team support people in one location where a mixture of day services and residential respite are provided and another in Prosperous where day and residential respite services are also provided. The service consists of residential, day and respite services. The Location Manager, along with the team, will be responsible for developing plans and ideas that support and encourage new interests and hobbies ensuring a meaningful quality of life. Community integration and involvement is a key component of this service delivery. The Location Manager will be responsible for roster administration and related responsibilities such as leave and payroll submissions. Location managers will support high quality service delivery through day to day management, induction, probation, supervision and appraisal.

The Location Manager will ensure practical application and adherence to standards and regulations related to the area in conjunction the PIC. The Location manager will work alongside Gheel’s multidisciplinary Team and other relating agencies related as appropriate in implementing Gheel’s philosophy to support.

C. Location Manager – North Dublin Transition Team – Temporary 1.0 WTE – Day Services (until February 2021).

The Transition Service is an innovative outreach service that offers support to people with autism across the North Dublin Region. Each individual accessing the service is allocated their own Caseworker who supports the person to progress in the areas identified by the person. This is achieved through weekly appointments in our office or in the community where Caseworkers offer Autism informed support in areas such as education, employment, housing, social and overall well-being. Individuals are also supported by the facilitation of workshops delivered by the Caseworkers and the service also aims to provide training and/or educational support to other community services. The team operates on a support model which aims to provide the individual with the right amount of support based on the persons’ needs which hopefully will lead to a reduction in support over time reflecting the progress that is made. The Transition Team Location Manager position provides a unique post that incorporates driving and developing a new model of service, overseeing a team of caseworkers as well as managing their own caseload as part of the role.

D. Location Manager – Fairview, Dublin – Permanent 1.0 WTE – Residential Roster

This position is based in a residential setting in Fairview, Dublin 3. The Location Manager will develop a team which consists of Social Care Workers, Support Workers and Care Assistants to ensure Person Centred Services for the people we support. As the ideal candidate, you will display excellent interpersonal, networking and communication skills. Along with the team, you will be responsible for facilitating plans and encouraging new interests and hobbies which are reflective of the individuals we support and their perspective of what constitutes a meaningful quality of life. Community integration and involvement is a key component of the provision of service delivery. You will be responsible for roster administration and related responsibilities such as leave and payroll submissions. In this role, you will support high quality service delivery through day to day management, induction, probation, supervision and appraisal. You will ensure practical application and adherence to standards and regulations related to the provision of quality services in conjunction with the PIC. You will work alongside Gheel’s multidisciplinary team to support an innovative, collaborative, reflective and inclusive culture which continually strives for excellence in practice.

Qualifications and Experience Requirements:

Essential Qualifications for this post:

  • Third level Qualification in Social Care or a related discipline
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite and use of internet and email
  • Hold a valid driver’s licence for the purpose of transporting service users

Desirable:

  • Management Qualification

Essential Experience:

  • At least two years recent experience in the social care/disability sector
  • Ability to support change management

Desirable Experience:

  • A knowledge of New Directions guidelines.
  • Experience of applying the National Standards for Residential Services for Children and Adults with Disabilities, Trust in Care and Adult Safeguarding
  • Experience in a similar role
  • Have experience supporting people with Autism and dealing with service users who have behaviours of concern
  • Experience in a leadership role

Salary Scale: Successful candidates will be paid in line with 2016 HSE revised consolidated Grade V Clerical pay scale point 1; €40,209 – 2nd LSI; € 48,496 per annum based on working a 39-hour week. There are 27 days annual leave with these posts.

Terms and Conditions

  • The salary scale for the post is aligned to the Department of Health and Children Clerical Grade V.
  • Hours of work are 39 hours per week with a high degree of flexibility built in to facilitate service needs. Details will be discussed and agreed with the successful candidates. The residential rosters will include overnights for which an allowance is paid.
