PERSONAL SUPPORTER (Permanent Contract), 15 hour a week x 2 Posts

We are currently recruiting Personal Supporters to work 15 hours per week as part of a Community team; to assist in the provision of health & social care for the people we support. The Personal Supporters will assist the people we support in all aspects of daily living in line with the needs, will and preference of the individual and as outlined in an agreed support plan. S/he will ensure that the needs of the people we support are being met through professional work practices. Personal Supporters must be flexible in their approach to service provision and should have the ability to work as a member of a team.

**This is a 15 hour a week Permanent contract, flexibility of working hours and own transport is essential**


PERSONAL SUPPORTER (Fixed Term Contract ), 20 hour a week

Do you enjoy being ‘out and about’ and have an interest in music, social activities and interacting with people?
Could you provide supports to a young woman who has the same interests?

Aoife is a pleasant young lady in her late 20’s who loves to be out and about in the community. Aoife loves listening to music. She loves to be involved in everything and loves having someone to chat with her. Aoife needs assistance with most aspects of daily life but is enthusiastic to enjoy life to the full. Aoife requires a lot of postural support and therefore will require support in this area.

**This is a 20 hour per week 1-year fixed term contract and flexibility of working hours and own transport is essential**


PERSONAL SUPPORTER (Fixed Term Contract ), 12 hour a week

Do you enjoy being ‘out and about’ and have an interest in, cinema, horse riding and art?
Could you provide supports to a young woman who has the same interests?

We are currently recruiting for a person to provide support to a young lady aged 22 years old; Claire has a keen interest in swimming, horse riding and art. Claire is a very social girl and loves interacting with people and also meeting new people.
Claire likes being part of the community and likes to go shopping and chatting. Claire has a keen interest in music, is an avid cinema goer and enjoys going for a walk.
Claire lives with her family and is a very active young lady with a busy schedule; she is also a member of the order of Malta.

**This is a 12 hour per week 1-year fixed term contract, flexibility of working hours and own transport is essential**

Salary Scale: Linked to HSE Salary Scales (Care Assistant Intellectual Disability)

Qualifications required

  • A relevant Certificate in Health Care Supports @ FETAC Level 5

Essential skills and experience

  • Strong communication & interpersonal skills
  • Experience in supporting individuals to live a good life
  • Ability to work on own initiative and as part of a team
  • Planning & organisational skills
  • Ability to ensure a safe work environment
  • Basic hygiene and infection control knowledge
  • Computer literate including Microsoft Office and reporting writing
  • Must be willing and able to participate in swimming pool activities
  • Must be willing and able to drive the St. Patrick’s transport vehicles
  • Must be willing and able to work rosters that include both days, nights, split shifts, late evenings and week-ends.
  • Full Clean Driver’s License & own transport essential
