Dublin City Community Co-op in partnership with Dublin City Council
Contract for Services: Researcher (specific Criminology Brief): Part-Time
Overview: Dublin City Council is in the process of developing a suite of initiatives to deliver interventions and supports to meet the ongoing challenges associated with gang culture that affect specific areas of Dublin City. The City Council and its partner agencies are committed to deliver on actions and strategies that can make a positive contribution to the communities we serve and where possible create positive life choices for those currently involved in this behaviour.
In advance of the delivery of any sustainable actions Dublin City Council and its partner agency, Dublin City Community Co-op, intend to develop baseline data in this area, carry out research on the cause and effects of gang culture, analyse best practice, nationally /internationally and finally pilot a number of models of intervention. Towards this end Dublin City Community Co-op has recently hired a full-time Researcher (specific Criminology brief) on a contract for services basis and it now wishes to hire a part-time Researcher (specific Criminology brief) who will be contracted for 2.5 days per week and who will be supervised by the full-time Researcher.
Contract: To achieve the above outcome, Dublin City Community Co-op and Dublin City Council are seeking to award a part-time contract for services to deliver this first phase. See attached for details.
