PACE is a voluntary sector organisation that works in the community with people who have a variety of sentences (custodial and/or community sanctions) for a wide range of offences. PACE provides a wide range of services to support the safe reintegration of this client group into the community.

About PACE Prevention Services

PACE Prevention Services consists of three programmes that work with clients with complex needs who pose a significant risk of reoffending sexually. The focus of the Prevention Services is on managing and reducing the risk of re-offending. Those who commit sexual offences are not a homogeneous population therefore our interventions aim to be responsive to the diversity of this client group. These three programmes operate in a desistance framework.

Circle of Support and Accountability (CoSA) Coordinator

Circles of Support and Accountability (CoSA) is a community-based initiative operating on restorative principles. Working in partnership with the Probation Service, An Garda Siochána and other agencies, CoSA assists individuals who have been convicted of a serious sexual offence(s) in their efforts to live a life free of crime and harmful behaviour. These individuals, who we refer to as Core Members, participate in the programme voluntarily. The aim of the Circle is to prevent further victims of sexual harm. A CoSA is made up of an Inner Circle of 4-6 volunteers and Outer Circle of professionals working with the Core Member.

The role

The CoSA Coordinator is responsible for the recruitment, selection, training, support / supervision of volunteers. They are also responsible for Core Member referral, assessment and preparation and coordinating Circle meetings.

The position is based in Dublin and is being offered on a three year fixed term contract with an 11 month probationary period.

Essential Criteria

  • The successful candidate must be educated to degree level in degree level in social work, social care, youth work, psychology or related field. The preferred candidate will also have a minimum of two years previous co-ordinating experience and minimum of two years’ experience managing volunteers.

Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
