National Development Officer – Projects and Reporting

This position will be offered on the basis of a fixed-term contract to 31st December 2019. This is a full-time post (35 hours per week)


The Money Advice and Budgeting Service (MABS) is a free, independent and confidential service providing advice and support to people who are in debt or in danger of getting into debt.


MABS National Development provides a range of developmental supports, to the MABS network of 8 Regional Companies including project development and implementation, casework technical support including insolvency (Debt Relief Notices), support with the development and implementation of agreed quality standards, social policy supports, support with money management education, communications and the provision of publications and materials for use in money advice work. MABS National Development also operates the MABS National Helpline, Monday to Friday 9am to 8pm.

The Role

The Project and Reporting NDO will have responsibility to progress and develop projects, analyse data and manage reporting generated by MABS National Development. The Project and Reporting NDO will contribute to the strategic development of MABS National Development. The Project and Reporting NDO will the lead the progression of projects in MABS and ensure that there is a focus on supporting staff to consistently deliver high quality data and reports. This role involves supporting and working closely with the Business Manager, Operations and Development Manager and the staff team in MABS National Development and the wider MABS.

  • This position is fulltime, 35 working hours per week, Monday to Friday.
  • This is a fixed-term contract which will expire in December 2019.
  • Access to transport for work purposes is essential.

Salary Scale

The salary scale for this position ranges from 50,014 to € 61,064 which includes two Long Service Increments.

It is anticipated that new entrants to the MABS service will be appointed on the 1st point of the salary scale.

Incremental credit should it be awarded, will be assessed on the basis of the information contained in the application form and cover letter at time of submission.
