SICAP Information Officer

County Kildare LEADER Partnership is seeking an Information Officer to work with individuals and groups supported under the Social Inclusion & Community Activation Programme (SICAP) 2018 – 2022. The aim of SICAP is to reduce poverty and promote social inclusion and equality through supporting communities and individuals using community development approaches, engagement and collaboration.

Information Officer

The Information Officer will engage with unemployed individuals and residents of disadvantaged communities who are unemployed and will provide relevant information and assistance to enable individuals and groups to access further education, training and employment. The position will initially be offered on a four-day week and the successful candidate will be required to provide information clinics in various locations around County Kildare on a weekly basis.

The successful candidate will have a relevant qualification and will have previous experience of working directly with the unemployed. S/he will have excellent interpersonal and communication skills, excellent IT and social media skills, a knowledge of the supports available to the unemployed and the skills to support individuals and groups availing of SICAP supports.

S/he will be a self-starter, prepared to work flexibly and will have a current full driving licence.

A fixed term contract to 31st December 2022 will be offered to the successful candidate.

Salary: €30,530 per annum pro rata.
