RESIDENTIAL SOCIAL CARE WORKERS NEEDED
Required for an immediate start, Social Care Workers on a job-share basis in our low support residential service for adults with a mild/moderate intellectual disability. Applicants will possess or be working towards a relevant social care qualification and have worked in the adult intellectual disability sector, with experience in residential settings and, preferably, current person centred individualised approach to supporting individuals. Committed to working individually and as part of a team, candidates must demonstrate the right attitude, proven ability, innovation and initiative and have good communication and inter-personal skills. A full clean driving licence is essential. Current Training in First Aid Responder, Manual Handling & People Moving, Safeguarding of Vulnerable Adults and Fire Safety is desirable, with Garda clearance to be obtained for the successful applicants.
This positions are based in New Ross, Co. Wexford. All but one of the positions are part-time, lone working; permanent and pensionable (mandatory scheme) and the other is a maternity leave cover, with salary levels dependent on qualifications and experience. The minimum fortnightly paid hours will be thirty-five (35) on a shift-roster basis plus sleepover, Saturday and Sunday premiums, with additional hours available to cover residents’ appointments, and planned and unforeseen absences of other team members.
