The Role

The purpose of the maternity contract role is to devise and implement fundraising and sustainability strategies and plans to achieve MS Ireland’s annual targets through maintaining and growing its existing donor-base and securing new and sustainable sources of contributions.

Current fundraising activities undertaken by MS Ireland include direct mail, community fundraising, events, legacies, pledge donors, corporate funding, trusts/foundations along with exciting national campaign the MS Readathon and Global Kiss Goodbye to MS. Leading and motivating a fantastic team, the successful candidate will be able to work independently and possess an entrepreneurial approach to his/her work. Developing and managing both internal and external relationships is also an essential part of the role.

We are at an exciting time in MS Ireland where we are getting ready to launch a new strategic 5 year fundraising plan in 2020, with this in mind part of the role will be ensure that plans are in place to achieve MS Ireland’s fundraising goals in the future while delivering the fundraising target for 2019.
