Kildare Ability Project

County Kildare LEADER Partnership has been granted funding under the Ability Programme to provide person centered supports for young people with a disability between 16 and 19 years who are no longer in education or employment. Ability is co-financed by the Irish Government and the European Social Fund as part of the ESF Programme for Employability, Inclusion and Learning 2014-2020.

Kildare Ability Employer Engagement Worker: The Employer Engagement Worker will work closely with employers and voluntary groups. They will promote inclusion and educate employers and voluntary organisations about the benefits of adapting jobs and meaningful social roles for young people with disabilities.

The successful candidate will hold a relevant third level qualification, have proven experience of working in a similar role and have a very good knowledge of employment supports available in County Kildare to young people with disabilities.

S/he will be a self-starter, possess excellent communication and organizational skills, very good IT skills and excellent project management skills.

This position is 21 hours a week.

A fixed term contract up to July 2021 will be offered with salary commensurate to experience.
