Role: Early Years and Young People Monitoring Coordinator

Reporting to: Unit Lead Monitoring, Analysis & Outcome
Role Purpose/ Summary:
Responsible for completing all necessary monitoring and reporting work to fulfil Pobal’s contractual requirements in relation Early Year Programmes, particularly with regard to responding to funder queries.
Key Responsibility Areas:
- Monitoring
- Define indicators to measure programme effectiveness
- Develop monitoring framework and reporting procedures to ensure business processes are underpinned by data.
- Develop monitoring training materials
- Quality Control – oversight of data quality and validity; responsible for liaising with Community Directorate where quality issues are identified & for direction on better data management
- Reporting
- Coordinate collation of programme data
- Act as Pobal’s primary responder to Departmental data queries (funder Queries)
- Responsible for preparation of reports in line with Department deadlines
- Assist in the annual programme of work leading to the Sector Profile report.
- Support to other Units
- Contribute, as subject matter expert on programme(s) data, and information analysis to support operational units delivery of early years programmes.
- Support the Early Years Operations team by reducing their need to respond to funder queries.
- Provide support to Early Years Operational team on detail of programme data

- Determine, develop and deliver training as appropriate to Pobal staff

Required Experience:
- Knowledge and experience of performance monitoring systems including data analysis, information systems and research methodologies
- Strong understanding & experience of social inclusion issues
- Proficient in MS packages e.g. Word, Excel, Outlook coupled with CAD, programme databases, SharePoint portals
Qualifications:
- Relevant third level qualification (e.g. Degree), or equivalent is desirable
Other Relevant Information:
Desirable:
- Knowledge of workings of the Early Years/community/voluntary/public sector
- Understanding of the Irish language

Pobal’s Grade 3 Salary scale applies - Duration of Contract
The contract is for a 12 month period, subject to continuance of Government funding - Probation
A probationary period of six months will apply - Pension
Pobal operates a defined contribution pension scheme. Employees have access to the scheme on successful completion of their six-month probationary period - Annual Leave
Current staff will retain their entitlement to annual leave days - Travel & Subsistence
Travel and subsistence will be paid at public sector rates - Location of the position
The position will be located in the Pobal Dublin Office
