Irish Wheelchair Association (IWA) is a progressive independent person centred organisation providing services for people with limited mobility nationally. Our mission is to provide exceptional services and other supports that change lives and ensure that people with disabilities are in a position to participate fully and equally in their communities. The Association employs 2,500 staff in every county in Ireland to provide those services.

We now seek applications for the following position in IWA Clane

Programme Assistant with Administrative Duties

(Permanent, part time contract- 30 hours per week)
Salary on offer is between €19,232 - €23,715
(prorated salary, depending on experience)

Main duties will involve keeping relevant and up to date IWA record systems, preparing and maintaining records as required by the ROC Manual and Service Coordinator, support an efficient office environment and assisting the Service Coordinator in ensuring a quality person centred service is provided to members.

You will also support and develop Individual service plans and reviews, support the working of the front desk and develop and lead the implementation of Resource and Outreach Programmes as set by the Service Co-ordinator, in line with the Service Plan.You will be also responsible for supporting and developing new initiatives in the area, facilitating opportunities for members to access community facilities and engage in community and other activities.

The ideal candidate will possess a minimum of 5 completed modules of FETAC level 5 (Major Award) Care Support or similar qualification combined with previous experience of working with databases and Microsoft Office suite (experience of creating and maintaining databases and spreadsheets is desirable). Previous experience of working with people with disabilities and previous experience working in a busy office environment is an advantage.
