Hours: 37.5 hours per week

To provide a confidential and professionally orientated role as National Volunteer Coordinator - ROI Retail to the National Retail Development Manager. The role is also responsible for managing / coordinating the recruitment, selection and retention of volunteers within SVP; collect and process volunteer application forms and related Garda vetting forms for SVP Retail activities within the Republic of Ireland in a manner consistent with established SVP practice and to present a list of approved volunteers to each Region, to an agreed timetable, for placement within local shops or warehouses.

The successful applicant will possess the following:

  • Educated to degree level in a relevant field and have a proven track record in providing high level admin support to a large team.
  • Experience of management in the community / voluntary sector
  • Extensive volunteer and staff management experience
  • Proven track record in project management
  • Demonstrable project management and administrative skills.
  • Persuasive communication skills - ability to present ideas clearly and concisely to a variety of audiences.
  • An ability to quickly establish and maintain rapport with a diverse range of stakeholders and to manage on-going working relationships and work plans.

  • Training skills
