Tenancy Support Worker

Duties: 19.5 hours per week
Location: Mid West Simon Community Office, Dock Road, Limerick

Purpose of Role:

Based in our offices on the Dock Road, we are currently recruiting for a Tenancy Support Worker. The worker will act both as a point of contact for clients seeking assistance / support in our offices on the Dock Road and also as a tenancy support to clients who are currently in Mid West Simon accommodation throughout Limerick City.

Duties include:

  • Working alongside tenancy support project worker to ensure that tenants of Mid West Simon Community are supported and maintain their tenancies
  • Acting as a point of contact for clients who drop into our offices on the Dock Road, providing information where necessary
  • Providing support to our Food Bank service and distributing food to clients of the Food Bank.
  • General reception and administrative duties.
  • Dealing with all telephone calls for assistance in a timely manner and adequately recording all data/information

Skills required:

  • Ability to work on own initiative or part of a team
  • Understanding of issues affecting people who experience homelessness
  • Excellent communication (Written and verbal) and interpersonal skills
  • Proficient in IT – MS Word, Excel, Internet & Email
  • Ability to be flexible in approach
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality
