Centres are staffed by a Manager and team of trained and experienced Social Care Workers and operate a therapeutic model of child care. We require Social Care Workers for relief positions in our organisation. Applicants must have diploma or degree in Social Care and experience of residential care.
This role involves supporting children who are witnesses within Criminal Trials in Ireland, and their families. The role has three strands to it: 1. Pre-trial preparation, 2. Trial Accompaniment, and 3. Post-trial support. Duties include helping prepare children on a practical level by explaining the court procedure using age appropriate language & ensuring all legal terminology is clarified for the family.
Relief pre-school teacher required to work 32 hours per week in our Tusla Funded Community Childcare Setting in Finglas. Fetac Level 6/7 in Early Childhood Education or above required. We also require a pre-school support teacher for 30 hours per week on a 38 week contract.
Candidates must hold a relevant qualification in Social Care and have an in-depth knowledge of relevant policy and procedures and must be able to show that they are constantly seeking to achieve the highest standards in their practice. Experience supporting young people with behaviours that challenge is essential and candidates must have the qualities required to work in a busy care setting.
The position requires a high degree of understanding and commitment to working with individuals and families that are at risk. The social care or youth worker must be able to use a rights based approach in their work and they must be committed to providing the highest level of service, care, protection and support for individuals and families at risk.
