Street Work (Detached Youth Work) Project Leader - Maternity Cover
25 hours per week.
A Street Work Project Leader operating from a social change model of youth work is required for Swan Youth Service. This position involves the day to day management and development of the street work team in Swan Youth Service.
The Project Leader will be responsible for the supervision of staff, ensuring that the street work program is responsive to emerging needs, and is outcome focussed in line Swan’s strategic plan.
Other duties include; the completion of all administrative requirements in an efficient and timely manner, budgetary oversight of the youth work programmes, reporting on the progress of the service to the Board and other relevant stakeholders.
The post will also involve interagency work, community development, and some street work.
- A professionally endorsed qualification in Youth/Community Work and a minimum of 5 years full time experience in a youth work setting.
- 10 years full time experience in a youth work setting.
- Previous management experience and or a relevant qualification to a management post.
This post is funded through the North East Inner City initiative. The role requires evening and weekend work. CDYSB Project Leader salary scale applies. A panel may be formed for any future vacancies. Garda Vetting will apply to this post.
