North Tipperary Development Company is a local development company responsible for the delivery of a range of rural enterprise, social inclusion, and community development initiatives in the Tipperary North County area.
The purpose of NTDC is “to act as a voluntary, non-profit making, private limited company with a mission to promote social inclusion, to promote economic development, increase employment and enterprise opportunities and promote wider participation in voluntary activity for the people of the area”.
The Roscrea Youth Service is comprised of:
- Roscrea Youth Project (TYFS)
- RAY Project (IYJS)
- The Eisteacht Counselling Service
The RAY Project works with young people aged 8 – 18 years. The aim of this Project is to divert young people, who have been referred due to anti-social behaviour and or criminal activity, away from such activity and life-style and into diversionary activities. This project is funded through the Department of Justice and Equality and by the European Social Fund 2014 – 2020 through the Irish Youth Justice Service in conjunction with An Garda Síochána
The Roscrea Youth Project works with young people aged 10 – 24 who are marginalised, disadvantaged or vulnerable. The Roscrea Youth Project is a Targeted Youth Funding Scheme project, which is a new youth scheme funded by the DCYA and administered by Tipperary ETB.
The Eisteacht Project is a new Pilot Initiative to provide a STEP UP and STEP Down Support, along with Counselling to young people in Roscrea. The Project will also develop and delivery wellness programmes in the Community. This Project is funded through Tipperary County Council
