BLANCHARDSTOWN YOUTH SERVICE
Foróige, the National Youth Development Organisation, which promotes and fosters youth development through the operation of various youth services in urban and rural areas throughout the country, now invite applications for the following position:
Blanchardstown Youth Service is managed and provided by Foróige in partnership with Dublin & Dun Laoghaire Education & Training Board since 1982. Blanchardstown Youth Service provide a range of services to voluntary youth groups and directly to young people considered ‘at risk’ in the Blanchardstown area. The role of the Youth Officer is to engage with local communities in order to respond to emerging needs through the provision of a direct work service. This work is regularly subject to change depending on need, some of the groups include:
- Young Travellers
- Early School Leavers
- Young people not in education, employment or training.
- Young people at risk of early sexual behaviour
- LGBTI young people
- Young people involved in Foróige’s Leadership programme
