This post is a full-time position funded by the Department of Children and Youth Affairs through the City of Dublin Youth Services Board.
The Youth Worker, working as part of the youth work team, will be primarily involved in identifying and engaging with young people at risk in the community. Then planning, developing, implementing and evaluating youth work programmes to meet the needs and interests of the young people, in keeping organisational plans, as agreed with the Project Leader, Manager and the Board of Sphere 17 RYS.
Salary scale is commensurate with the CDYSB Youth Worker Salary Scale. This post will require the successful candidate to work scheduled hours at evenings and weekends.
- An *NSETS professionally endorsed qualification in Youth Work or Youth and Community Work.
- Have worked with young people for two years full-time in a youth work setting and have an equivalent professional Degree level qualification within the Education/Social Science/Youth Work or Community Work field.
- 2 years experience of working with young people at risk in a full-time paid capacity in a youth work setting.
