Foróige, the National Youth Development Organisation, which promotes and fosters youth development through the operation of various youth services in urban and rural areas throughout the country, funded through the dormant accounts fund, now invite applications for the following position:
Big Brother Big Sister Programme Officer Ballina (Maternity Leave Cover)
The successful candidate will be offered a contract of employment covering Maternity Leave and be expected to work a minimum of 35 hours per week, the employment base will be Foróige Office, Ballina Youth and Family Support Service, Pearse Street, Ballina, Co. Mayo.
The successful applicant will have the following essential requirements;
- Education to Degree standard preferably in Youth / Justice / Health Promotion work (note: candidates with a Diploma and with exceptional, relevant work experience may also be considered in lieu of degree qualifications)
- Car and Full Driving Licence
- Relevant paid or voluntary experience working with young people
- Experience and understanding of mentoring
