FARRANREE YOUTH PROJECT
Foróige is an independent, non-profit national voluntary youth organisation engaged in out-of-school youth development and education. The organisation aims to enable young people to involve themselves consciously and actively in their own development and the development of society. Foróige employs over 370 staff and involves thousands of volunteers in the creation and delivery of high quality services to young people through the operation of over 600 volunteer led clubs, the Big Brother Big Sister mentoring programme and over 150 General Youth Services and Special Projects.
The Farranree Youth Project is operated by Foróige in partnership with Cork Education & Training Board and now invite applications for the following position:
YOUTH WORKER (Maternity Leave Cover)
This project which operates from Farranree, Co. Cork aims to equip young people with the knowledge skills and attitudes necessary for their appropriate and full participation in society. It is community based and has a particular focus on young people who may be experiencing disadvantage or at risk. The Project Worker (Maternity Leave Cover) will work a minimum of 35 hours per week.
The successful applicant will have the following essential requirements;
- Education to National Diploma or Degree standard
(note: candidates with exceptional, relevant work experience may also be considered in lieu of degree qualifications)
- A minimum of 1 year relevant work experience
- Car and Full Driving Licence
