Clare Youth Service, a voluntary organisation, is the leading provider of youthwork programmes and services to young people in the county. Applications are invited from suitably qualified persons for the post of:

Community Training Centre Tutor

QQI/LCA modules include Work Experience, Career preparation and Communications.
Hours of work are 25.5 hours per week for this role.

Applicants should possess:

  • A recognised Third Level Qualification and significant experience of working with young people aged 16-21
  • A good knowledge of administration, communication and presentation skills
  • The ability to deliver flexible training options
  • The ability to work in a challenging environment and to work effectively with other staff members and external partners
  • Knowledge and proven experience of delivering QQI level 3 & 4
  • A learner-centred approach to teaching and the ability to provide guidance and leadership to learners.


  • Training, assessment and monitoring of learner course work in the relevant skills areas to QQI standards
  • Direct supervision of learners
  • Assisting with planning, development and implementation of CTC services within a Quality Assurance Framework and other duties as appropriate.

Salary scale will be in line with the CTC instructor scales.
