Youth Work Ireland Cork has a Local Training Initiative programme (LTI), FETAC level 4 Arts and Creativity course, sponsored by Cork ETB. A Vacancy has arisen for the following post;
The role of the Coordinator is to support the running of a full time training programme leading to a QQI Major Award at Level 4 in General Learning.
The successful candidate will also be required to tutor young adults (aged between 16 and 24 years) to QQI level 4, in some of the following modules;
- Digital Media;
- Information Technology;
- Personal Effectiveness;
- Work experience;
- Functional Maths;
- Food and nutrition.
The Coordinator will be required to manage/administer and organize the programme in conjunction with the Assistant Coordinator. The ideal candidate will be required to prepare and assess the QQI Major Award working with the Assistant Coordinator
Skills & Education:
The successful candidate will be required to have a strong knowledge of the National Qualifications Framework System of accreditation and a QQI quality assurance process. The ideal candidate will have good interpersonal and communication skills, a team worker and a keen interest in arts and creativity.
Candidates must hold a relevant qualification in teaching and a relevant qualification in a particular discipline (according to the NFQ) that is at least one level above the module or overall course certification that is being delivered.
Candidates must also have at least three years of professional experience and /or 2 years or more as LTI Coordinator/Assistant Coordinator.
