Foróige is an independent, non-profit national voluntary youth organisation engaged in out-of-school youth development and education. The organisation aims to enable young people to involve themselves consciously and actively in their own development and the development of society. Foróige employs over 370 staff and involves thousands of volunteers in the creation and delivery of high quality services to young people through the operation of over 600 volunteer led clubs, the Big Brother Big Sister mentoring programme and over 150 General Youth Services and Special Projects. The organisation invite applications for the following 3 vacancies:
FULLTIME REGIONAL YOUTH OFFICER – SLIGO AND LEITRIM
FULLTIME REGIONAL YOUTH OFFICER – DONEGAL NORTH
PART TIME REGIONAL YOUTH OFFICER – DONEGAL SOUTH
The aim of the Regional Youth Officer is to develop volunteer led Foróige Clubs and Groups for young people in the North West Region.
The successful applicant(s) will have;
- Education to National Diploma or Degree standard preferably in Youth / Community Work (candidates with exceptional, relevant work experience may also be considered in lieu of degree qualifications).
- A minimum of 1 year relevant work experience
- Access to car and full driving licence
- Ability to engage target group
The successful full time candidates will work a minimum of 35 hours per week and the successful part time candidate will work a minimum of 17.5 hours per week.
