The Alternatives to Violence Project (AVP) is a dynamic international organisation, with a network of skilled volunteers in Ireland, offering members of our communities who have experienced violence a unique experiential learning environment, where they share, learn and develop peace building skills to live a life of non violence. In Ireland, AVP mainly runs its programme in prison to help inmates live crime-free lives. 

Mission Statement: To assist community groups in County Monaghan tackle common problems, address common issues, and to provide a platform for community groups to share information and promote community development.

The Community Relations Council was set up in 1990 as an independent charity to promote better community relations between Protestants and Catholics in Northern Ireland and the recognition of cultural diversity. The Council has no view on what form a political solution should take in Northern Ireland but regards the development of tolerance and mutual understanding within the community as a fundamental part of the process. The Council seeks to influence people at all levels, from working class estates to the executive boardrooms.

The Donegal CWC is part of a national network, The Community Workers Co-operative, whose members are committed to promoting and supporting community work as a means of achieving radical social change.
