Irish charity set up by parents of children born with Down syndrome to establish the first dedicated centre to provide a range of services specific to the needs of people with this diability.
Since 2002 the charity has been busy fundraising and will launch their first service - the employment of a Down Syndrome Liaison Nurse - who will work initially on a pilot basis in Dublin maternity hospitals providing advice, support and information to new parents of children born with Down syndrome.
The charity also provides support through it's website and blog which is authored by a number of parents and relatives of people with Down syndrome.
