We have an extensive Full-time volunteering programme here in the Dublin Simon Community. The programme consists of an in-depth induction, onsite training, Professional Certificate in Volunteerism with TU Dublin - which has an emphasis on reflective practice, social care and both formal and informal learning - this is the first of its kind. We recruit for Full Time Volunteers throughout the year. Many people use the opportunity of Full-Time volunteering to gain essential practical experience in social care and addiction studies, to develop a career in this area. Others choose Full-Time Volunteering to grow as individuals, to take time out from study/employment or to finally make that career change.

We provide accommodation (when available) and there is a weekly allowance (€125.00 per week) for all full-time volunteers. In return Full-Time Volunteers give 37.5 hours per week in our services for a minimum of 9-12 months.
