About Kilmore West Youth Project:
Kilmore West Youth Project CLG (KWYP) is a youth work organisation working with young people aged 10-24 years in the Kilmore area. KWYP provides a safe place for youth work interventions. We support young people to reach their full potential while upholding the core values of youth work.
Working with young people aged 10-24 years with the aim of building relationships and empowering them to meet their full potential.
To be enthusiastic and willing to engage in programs and activities.
Supporting Youth Worker in devising youth-based programs.
Receiving on-going support from full time Youth Workers and supervision is provided.
If you’re interested in volunteering but cannot commit to the role now but feel that you would like to volunteer in the coming months, get in touch so we know to contact you when’s convenient.
What’s required for this position:
- An interest in working with young people.
- Long term commitment for one year is ideal, however short-term volunteers are welcome.
- Garda vetting is also required.
- We understand that the time you give up to volunteer is invaluable, but you will also have to be mindful of the young people you work with. We would ask for a strong commitment from our volunteers to be consistent when working with young people.
