Through our Citizens Information Centres located on the northside of Cork City we provide individuals with easy access to the highest quality information and advice on public services including rights and entitlements in a clear and comprehensive manner, in confidence.
Current Volunteer Vacancies – Information Providers
Volunteers are required to carry out specific tasks including meeting & greeting customers, establishing their information needs, accessing and providing information primarily using our website, as well as follow up work related to customer queries and basic data entry using an online query management system.
We’re looking for volunteers at least 25 years of age who are interested in training as Information Providers. Ideally we’re looking for caring, resourceful people who are comfortable in an office environment, proficient in English with good listening, interpersonal communication, administrative and IT skills, ideally with some knowledge of public services.

Time and Commitment Required
Volunteers need to have three to seven hours to spare consistently each week, mornings and/or afternoons with an initial commitment of one year.
Locations: Knocknaheeny, Blackpool or Mayfield in Cork City.
