Amnesty International: Volunteers Needed

Human Rights Are My Pride

Amnesty International are seeking volunteers to help us with a bucket collection in Dublin city after the Pride parade in Dublin on June 29th. Between 3.30 and 7.30pm, we will be visiting the very busy streets of the city in pairs, asking people to donate cash to our Amnesty buckets. This is a day of celebration so we are expecting people to be in good mood and that you will enjoy the day too.

There will be a supervisor with you on the day, you will be wearing an Amnesty branded bib and you will be issued with an ID badge. After all our hard work, there will be a celebration for everyone involved, held at Amnesty HQ on Fleet Street.

VERY IMPORTANT! We will hold an induction on Thursday 27th June at 6pm at the Amnesty offices on Fleet Street, Dublin. Here you will learn about our routes, what is expected of you and we will organise pairs. This will take one hour and it is imperative that all volunteers attend.

We'd like volunteers who are friendly, polite and super thankful for every donation we receive. People must remain in their pairs and follow the route guidelines.

Around the world, people are under attack and even being killed for who they love, how they dress and ultimately for who they are. Amnesty International Ireland are committed to standing up to discrimination against LGBTI people around the world. For that reason Amnesty Ireland will be both taking part in the Pride parade as well as doing the bucket collection to help support our campaign.

Closing date for applications: Thursday 27th June 2019
