Inclusion Ireland wishes to recruit board members to its voluntary board.
About Inclusion Ireland
Inclusion Ireland is a national rights-based advocacy organisation that works to promote the rights of people with an intellectual disability. Inclusion Ireland uses the UN Convention on the Rights of Person with Disabilities (UNCRPD) as the prism through which it conducts its work. The UNCRPD is important because it provides the framework to ensure the full and equal enjoyment of all human rights and fundamental freedoms by all persons with disabilities. Article 12, which guarantees the right of people with a disability to participate to the fullest extent possible in decisions which concern them and to the assistance to enable them to do so, is particularly relevant.
About the Role
The board of Inclusion Ireland is a voluntary board and is comprised of people with intellectual disabilities, family members of people with disabilities and professionals with relevant skills.
Inclusion Ireland now wishes to recruit board members with a particular focus on HR, marketing, legal and PR skills. The Board has 10-12 meetings per year and 1 AGM.
Board meetings are held in our Dublin Office, Unit C2, The Steelworks, Foley Street, Dublin 1.
Contact Interim CEO Sarah Lennon on 01 855 98 91 or firstname.lastname@example.org for an initial discussion and application details will be provided.
