ISPCC Dublin: Volunteers for Childline Services

ChildLine Phones in Dublin

ChildLine offers a listening and support service to anyone under the age of 18. It is Ireland’s only 24 hour listening service and we are looking to recruit volunteers.

To become a volunteer you need to attend a group information evening and subsequent individual meeting. The next information evening is on the 5th February 2019. It will be held at 6.30pm and it is in 30 Lower Baggot Street. The following information evenings will be on April on the 9th and 11th.

The group information evening is part of the ISPCC’s recruitment process. After an information evening, volunteers will be invited to individual meeting.  We aim to ensure that volunteers have a full picture of what to expect from volunteering  and that we explain to you how we work.

About training

We will ensure you are fully prepared for your role as a Childline volunteer. You will attend a series of preparation sessions within a group and learn about active listening and different reasons children get in touch. In these sessions, you will have a chance to practice and you will get a chance to have a group discussion about different topics.

How to get in touch
